Actor Frankie Muniz plans on returning to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2026.

“If I’m being 100% honest, I really thought that last year was gonna be my final year racing,” he said in an interview with People’s Virginia Chamlee. “Just because of the amount of time and focus and everything that goes into being a driver at the top level. So when I did my last race in Phoenix a month ago, I had this thought like, ‘Well, this could be the last race I ever do as a NASCAR driver.’

“And it was really in that moment that I was like, ‘No way. I’m not done with this. The story is not done. I haven’t accomplished the goals that I want to accomplish in it.'”

Muniz, who famously starred in Malcolm in the Middle, told Chamlee he has “unfinished business.”

The 40-year-old competed 21 times for Reaume Brothers Racing in 2025. He placed 10th in the Fresh From Florida 250 to open the campaign but struggled for the remainder of the year. He ranked 26th in the Craftsman Truck Series with 256 points.

Muniz got behind the wheel for Reaume in 2024 as well, but this was his first year as a full-time driver. Having gained invaluable experience on the circuit, perhaps his fortunes on the track will improve in 2026.
