The Edmonton Elks have extended Canadian kicker Vincent Blanchard to a one-year deal through the 2027 season.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Blanchard re-ups with the Elks after a season that saw the kicker connect on 78.8 per cent of his field goals (35-of-45) in 2025, while converting on 39-of-40 extra points.
“I’m happy to sign my extension in Edmonton and to be a part of this organization,” Blanchard said in a statement.
“I want to thank the organization for believing in me, and I’m proud to be able to work for this coaching staff as we re-establish the culture in Edmonton. I really wanted to be part of the change.”
The native of Quebec City, Que., was originally a fourth-round selection (31st overall) in the 2024 CFL Draft by the Elks out of Laval.
At the collegiate level, Blanchard was named a second-team All-Canadian in 2023 after converting 94 per cent of his field goals. The 27-year-old was also a member of the Rouge et Or’s Vanier Cup championship in 2022.
Blanchard attended the New England Patriots’ rookie minicamp in 2024 before joining the Elks.
