Week two, day six of the NASCAR vs. 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports antitrust trial is the focus of the latest episode of Bringing the Heat.

Host Trey Lyle was joined by Stephen Stumpf, who was in the North Carolina courtroom, and Tom Bowles to discuss the day’s proceedings.

The episode opens with Lyle asking Stumpf about the atmosphere inside the courtroom during his first day at the trial. Stumpf detailed how the judge admonished both sides over a series of objections before the jury was brought in.

The conversation then shifts to the conclusion of the cross-examination of Jon Marshall, director of the Race Team Alliance. Marshall walked through the timeline that led to a majority of teams signing NASCAR’s most recent charter agreement.

Lyle and Bowles also ask Stumpf about testimony from the plaintiffs’ expert witness, economist Dr. Edward Snyder, the former dean of business schools at Yale University, the University of Chicago and the University of Virginia. The group discussed the financial data Snyder presented and its potential implications for the case.
