Though Dustin Wolf was able to lead the Calgary Flames to victory on Monday, fans were talking about him for an entirely different reason.

Shortly after Monday’s bout versus the Buffalo Sabres came to an end, Wolf’s girlfriend, Sawyer Norman, announced via Instagram that she and the Flames star netminder are now engaged.

“12.07.2025, the day I got to say yes to forever with my best friend,” Norman wrote on Instagram.

Plenty of congratulations were in store, including Wolf’s teammate, Sam Honzek, who commented, “Congrats, you guys!”

Wolf and Norman live a rather private life, making it unclear as to when exactly they began dating. What is known, however, is that Norman is a hockey player herself.

Norman spent three seasons playing with the Battleford Sharks in the Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League before going to Edmonton and suiting up for NAIT for the 2023-24 season. The 20-year-old blueliner last played in 2024-25 with the Western Prairie Klippers in the Saskatchewan Junior Female Hockey League, where she had a goal and eight penalty minutes in six games.

As for Wolf, he starred in his rookie season with the Flames and wound up finishing second in Calder Trophy voting last year. He started off slower than expected in 2025-26, but has shown tremendous signs of improvement as of late, helping the Flames to their first three-game winning streak of the season following Monday night’s victory.
