BROOKLYN, N.Y.—-Announced by the Eastern College Athletic Conference on Thursday, Brooklyn College freshman forward Andrew Gavrilov has been named the organization’s NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Year. He was also selected as an All-ECAC Second Team member. Gavrilov helped the Bulldogs to a 10-6-1 overall record, the program’s first regular season CUNYAC title since 1981, and a conference championship tournament semifinal appearance as the No. 1 seed.Â

Named CUNYAC Rookie of the YearÂ
Led the CUNYAC in goals scored (15), points (31), and game-winning goals (6). Â
Tied for fourth in NCAA Division III in goals scored per game, fifth in game-winning goals, and 11th in points per game. Â
Scored a hat trick in the first half against Medgar Evers on 10/11. Â
Named CUNYAC Rookie of the Week three times on the season.Â
