Caitlin Clark is back to 100 percent.

The Indiana Fever guard herself revealed that she feels fully healthy at last as she completed her first drills at the 18-player Team USA camp led by Duke head coach Kara Lawson.

Clark is hoping that she will make a strong case for inclusion on the United States roster for the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, which will be held in Germany between Sept. 4 and Sept. 13. The Americans have won the past four tournaments.

“I’ve been working out and playing pickup (games) and stuff like that. … I need to knock off a little bit of rust, but my body feels really good,” Clark said. “I feel like I’m in a really good spot. The main goal is staying that way.”

After she was named Rookie of the Year and placed fourth in MVP voting in 2024, Clark’s second WNBA season was disrupted by a series of injuries that limited her to 13 games.

Clark was ruled out for the season on Sept. 4 due to a right groin injury. The Fever went on to reach the WNBA semifinals for the first time since 2015; Indiana pushed the eventual champion Las Vegas Aces to a winner-take-all Game 5 in that series.

The Fever made it clear that they would not prioritize Clark’s long-term health in search of wins in 2025. Indiana reached the semifinals without the superstar guard — and now that she is fully healthy, with plans to stay that way, the Fever will be a firm championship favorite in 2026, once the WNBA and the WNBPA agree on a new CBA.

Next year then is shaping up to be a big one for Clark, with anticipation growing that she will make her senior national team debut as well.
