FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (December 12, 2025) – Looking to capture the program’s fourth Big Sky Tournament title and third NCAA Tournament appearance, the Northern Arizona men’s tennis team has unveiled its 19-match schedule for the 2026 season, announced Friday.

NAU will play eight matches in Flagstaff, and 11 on the road including three neutral contests. The 2026 Big Sky Championships will be held April 23-25 in Pheonix, Arizona at the Phoenix Tennis Center.

The Lumberjacks welcome Western New Mexico to start the year, playing a doubleheader against the Mustangs on Friday, January 23. NAU then hosts Ottawa (AZ) in another doubleheader to finish the opening weekend, before traveling to Utah State to face the Aggies on Jan. 30.

Most of February’s matches take place away from Flagstaff, beginning with a contest against Utah in Salt Lake City on February 1, followed by a trip to Phoenix to play Grand Canyon on Feb. 13. The ‘Jacks will remain in the Valley after playing the Lopes and face Hawaii in a neutral match on Valentine’s Day. NAU will then head north to Colorado Springs for another neutral meeting with Gardner-Webb on the campus of Air Force on Feb. 21 before facing the Falcons on Feb 22. February will finish with the Big Sky Conference opener at home as Idaho State travels to Flagstaff on Feb. 27.

The Lumberjacks remain in Flagstaff to start March, hosting Denver on Mar. 7 and Portland State on Mar. 8. NAU will then face Colgate in San Diego for its last regular season neutral match on Mar. 19 and remain in California to play Sacramento State on Mar. 22. Weber State will then welcome NAU to Ogden to close the month on Mar. 28.

April begins in Big Sky Country as NAU knocks out its contests with the defending champion Griz and Bobcats on April 3 and 5, respectively. The ‘Jacks then have a two-week break before playing their final home and regular season match on April 19 against Idaho.

The Lumberjacks wrapped up a strong Fall season in the ITA Conference Masters on Nov. 9. The doubles pair of Takumi Katsuda and Vincent Vohl earned the nomination to the event after reaching the semifinals in ITA Regionals Championships in October. Their appearance marked back-to-back selections for NAU at the ITA Conference Masters.
