The Los Angeles Chargers fanbase should be pleased with what head coach Jim Harbaugh has achieved in his second year. Despite dealing with numerous injuries, the Chargers remain among the top teams in the AFC.
They’re coming off a huge win on Monday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles and have won six of their last eight games. Quarterback Justin Herbert broke his hand on the first of December and played in this game just eight days later. The Chargers also got Omarion Hampton back in Week 14. The rookie running back was starting to break out before he fractured his ankle in Week 5.Â
Even though Los Angeles has several offensive linemen out, they’ve continued to run the ball well. In their Week 14 win, they ran the ball for 169 rushing yards and nine first downs on the ground as well.Â
As we head into the Chargers’ Week 15 matchup with the Chiefs, Los Angeles needs to continue winning to stay in reach of the Denver Broncos.Â
Here’s more on the Chargers’ 2025-26 postseason chances heading into Week 15.

Chargers playoff picture
As it stands, heading into their game against Kansas City, the Chargers hold the No. 5 seed in the AFC.
While they seem like a solid playoff team, there’s still a chance they could miss out if the season ends badly. Still, it’s unlikely because the Indianapolis Colts, who are the closest on the bubble with the best record, just lost starting quarterback Daniel Jones.Â
The best thing the Chargers can do is keep taking care of their business and let the other scenarios unfold. As we approach Week 15, Next Gen Stats shows Los Angeles has a 76% chance of making the playoffs.Â
Here is how the AFC playoff picture looks heading into Week 15. The first four seeds are the division leaders.

Unfortunately for the Chargers, they have one of the toughest ends to the season out of anyone in the NFL.Â
To begin, you take on the Chiefs, who have struggled, but no one wants to play Patrick Mahomes, let alone when he’s in desperation mode. Then they get the Dallas Cowboys, whose offense can take down anyone on any given week.
Finally, you end up going up against arguably the two best defensive units in football, the Houston Texans and the Broncos. If the cards unfold correctly, the Week 18 game in Denver could be for the AFC West.Â
Here is a look at Los Angeles’ remaining schedule.
