But wait, there’s more!
9News reported the names of six Canadian Football League players who worked out for the Denver Broncos on Friday. Following that report, the CFL workouts were confirmed by the NFL’s transaction wire — and the names of four other players were also revealed.
In addition to the originally reported six CFL players, the Broncos also brought in a quarterback, wide receiver, edge defender and defensive back. Here’s a quick look at those four players.
Defensive back Rob Carter (5-10, 175 pounds) joined the BC Lions this spring after playing college football at the Division II and FCS levels. He totaled 51 tackles and five interceptions in the CFL’s 2025 season.
Quarterback Seth Henigan (6-3, 215 pounds) signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Memphis this spring. After failing to make the final roster, Henigan had a brief stint on Jacksonville’s practice squad. He completed 64.1% of his passes for 14,278 yards with 104 touchdowns against 31 interceptions in college.
Defensive end Dawson Scott (6-3, 250 pounds) totaled 156 tackles, 26 sacks, six forced fumbles, four pass breakups and two fumble recoveries in two seasons (41 games) at Southern Arkansas (DII). Scott would presumably switch to outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense.
Wide receiver Isaiah Wooden (5-9, 170 pounds) has spent time with two NFL teams and two CFL teams after playing college football for Southern Utah, Kent State and Utah Tech. He’s played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats since 2024, returning 42 kickoffs for 1,105 yards and two touchdowns in 2025 while adding 38 punt returns for 570 yards and another score.

Denver might be taking a look at players who could be candidates to sign reserve/future contracts following the 2025 season. As of the time of publication, none of these players has been signed.
