In Bucha, Kyiv region, the first All-Ukrainian boxing tournament for war veterans took place, with athletes from various regions of the country participating.
The head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnik, spoke about the event, which became an important pillar of veteran support.
“It was in the Kyiv region that the first All-Ukrainian boxing tournament among war veterans took place – an event that united 14 fighters, 7 pairs of veterans from different regions of the country. For each of them, the road to the ring ran through the front, injuries and a long recovery, and every fight became a victory over oneself”

In the final bout for the Ukrainian championship title among combat veterans, Serhiy “Gera” Herasymenko won, confirming his status as champion.
Tournament results and Kyiv region’s role in supporting veterans
