United States – Mastercard and the McLaren Formula 1 Team have launched Team Priceless, a global fan initiative that aims to provide selected supporters with behind-the-scenes access to the team during the Formula 1 season.

The programme marks the first time McLaren has partnered with a naming partner to offer curated access and experiences tied closely to the team. Through Team Priceless, fans will gain insights into race weekend preparations and take part in localised experiences linked to McLaren’s global fan community, known as Team Papaya.

Under the initiative, four fans will be selected at each of five race locations during the season. Team Priceless will begin in Melbourne before moving on to Miami, the United Kingdom, Mexico City and Abu Dhabi.

Participants will be able to access Mastercard-exclusive Priceless Experiences, including a dedicated seat in the McLaren Racing garage to observe race preparations. The programme also includes opportunities to meet McLaren Formula 1 Team drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, as well as team engineers, alongside other behind-the-scenes activities throughout race weekends.

Selected fans will also be encouraged to create and share content documenting their experience, with the aim of bringing the wider McLaren fan base closer to race weekend activities.

Recruitment for the first Team Priceless group will begin in North America, with Miami as the initial destination. Eligible Mastercard cardholders can enter from December 12 to December 23, 2025, by following submission guidelines on the Priceless website and showcasing their support for the McLaren Formula 1 Team on social media. Details for recruitment in other regions will be announced at a later date, with fans able to register for updates online.

Commenting on the launch, Raja Rajamannar, senior fellow at Mastercard, said, “We’ve long believed that experiences bring people closer to each other and to the things they care about most – Team Priceless brings that belief to life. By opening the door to the McLaren Formula 1 Team and its global community, we’re creating once-in-a-lifetime moments that connect fans to where their passion truly lives. It’s the kind of experience only Mastercard can make possible.”

Louise McEwen, chief marketing officer at McLaren Racing, commented, “McLaren Racing is a fan-first team so partnering with Mastercard to offer unprecedented access to the team and all the action is hugely exciting. Mastercard share our passion for creating meaningful, unforgettable experiences and this programme gives supporters around the world the chance to see what goes into a race weekend from behind the scenes and get closer to McLaren Racing than ever before.”

The launch of Team Priceless follows Mastercard’s announcement in August that it will become the official naming partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team from the 2026 season. The initiative is positioned as an early step in that partnership and as a new approach to fan engagement for both organisations.

The programme will be led by two fan captains, who will mentor selected members and share their experiences through digital content. The captains are set to be revealed during pre-season testing in Bahrain in February.
