Motorola is ready to tease its next phone for 2026 after introducing a new Moto G recently, and this time it’s a revamped version of its G Power series.
The Moto G Power 2026 features a 5,200mAh battery, up from the 5,000mAh cell inside the 2025 version of the phone. It features 30W fast-charging tech, but there’s no word yet on whether it features wireless charging like its predecessor.
The handset includes an improved selfie camera, jumping up to 32MP with an f/2.2 aperture. The phone’s other cameras are a 50MP main shooter with an f/1.8 aperture, and an 8MP ultra-wide with a 118 degree field-of-view. There’s also an ambient light sensor on the rear.
Motorola is keeping the same display tech with a 6.8-inch Full HD display, equaling 387ppi with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits of brightness.
Durability is a key focus for Motorola with the handset featuring display protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, an IP69 water-resistance rating, and MIL-STD-810H8 certification after withstanding tests such as falls, extreme temperatures, and humidity.
There’s one storage option at 128GB, but you can also use microSD cards up to 1TB. You’ll get 8GB of RAM, but the brand has also included RAM Boost where you can sacrifice some storage to increase RAM up to 24GB.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip makes a return from last year’s phone. It’s unclear why the brand hasn’t opted for MediaTek’s most recent 6400 alternative. PCMag’s review of the 2025 Moto G Power found that phone was less powerful than its predecessor as Motorola previously switched from a Dimensity 7020 chip to the less competitive 6300.
You’ll get Android 16 software, although the brand has yet to confirm how many years of updates it comes with. Last year’s handset only offered two major updates.

In our review of 2025’s Motorola G Power, PCMag recommended most people opt for the Samsung Galaxy A25 5G instead. The review said the battery life, cameras, and longer support window were a better choice for most people with Samsung’s handset taking a spot on our list of the best affordable phones.
