Canadian relief pitcher Jordan Romano has signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Angels.

The Markham, Ont.,-born Romano spent his first six seasons in Major League Baseball pitching out of the bullpen for the Toronto Blue Jays.

But he parted ways with the team after the 2024 season, and pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2025.

The Angels announced the signing in a press release on Tuesday. The deal is worth $2 million US.
