Tempe, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”) is pleased to announce today a partnership with Match Tennis in which they will be designated, “An Official Live Scoring Provider of the ITA.”

Match Tennis App aims to promote the sport of tennis at all levels, from beginner to professional, through the development and implementation of innovative technologies. Through their technological efforts, Match Tennis aims to increase participation in tennis and create a more accessible and inclusive environment for players of all ages, genders, and backgrounds.

“I am delighted that the ITA will partner with an app our coaches already rely on heavily for their recruiting needs throughout the year,” stated ITA CEO, David Mullins. “This collaboration will give college tennis programs an easy way to showcase their matches to a wider audience while streamlining final score submissions directly to the ITA for ranking purposes. We look forward to better connecting the junior pathway with the collegiate game with the help of Match Tennis moving forward.”

ITA member teams will be able to use the new Match Tennis App college tennis live scoring feature for their dual matches at no cost or fee. Through this, programs will be able to access Match Tennis App and its live scoring software in which they can offer fans another way to follow along with matches while also being able to submit completed results to the ITA directly from the app.

”College tennis delivers some of the most exciting competition in our sport, yet too many of these matches happen without an audience,” stated Match Tennis Co-Founder, Lindsay Waters. “This partnership with the ITA changes that. We’re providing every college program in the United States with powerful, easy-to-use live scoring and results reporting technology completely free of charge, while simultaneously launching a dedicated college tennis experience within Match Tennis App to captivate and connect fans in ways never before possible. Our mission has always been to grow the game by connecting players, coaches, and fans, and working alongside the ITA, we’re creating a new and exciting way to engage with and experience college tennis!”

This agreement will ensure that more programs than ever have access to a live scoring solution that is fully integrated with the ITA system. As a result this partnership should streamline many of the numerous responsibilities shared by coaches, athletics staff members, and players when it comes to the promotion and results reporting of their programs.

The first phase of this partnership will be completed early in the new year with several college tennis programs beta testing the new live scoring feature before a full launch across all seven divisions of college tennis. The ITA will be sending regular updates and educational materials around this project to both coaches and officials in the new year.
