The Los Angeles Dodgers’ back-to-back World Series wins led to a full share of $484,747.57 per player, dividing up an overall pool of $128.2 million that came from Major League Baseball’s postseason.
The total pool figure, announced Thursday, nearly matched the record-setting $129.1 million from 2024. Still, the individual share granted this year was greater than the $477,440.70 each Dodgers player received after winning last year’s title, since fewer total shares were distributed. The Dodgers issued 82 full shares, 12.5 partial shares and $340,000 in awards from their team pool of more than $46 million after toppling the Toronto Blue Jays in seven games.
The Blue Jays’ full award was $354,118.39, only slightly less than the mark the New York Yankees received when the Dodgers defeated them in five games in 2024.
All players and managers eligible for the World Series or who went on the injured list on June 1 or later received a full share. Other players who weren’t with the team by that date are subject to a team vote on whether they receive a full or partial share, along with select staff members. Other staffers, such as team media relations directors, grounds crew members, traveling secretaries and others, are not eligible for shares but can receive cash awards. Club executives are not eligible.
