Kansas City is bolstering its bullpen.

Strahm made his MLB debut with the Royals in 2016 and now returns to his initial club. He has also played for the Padres, Red Sox and Phillies.

The 34-year-old Strahm was solid in 2025, posting a 2.74 ERA over 62.1 innings as one of Philadelphia’s high-leverage bullpen arms. He recorded a career-high six saves.

Strahm had a career year in 2024, going 6-2 with a 1.87 ERA and making his first and only career all-star game.

Going back to Philadelphia is the 29-year-old Bowlan, who made 34 appearances last season, going 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA. Bowlan was drafted by the Royals in 2018, making his MLB debut in 2023, and pitching only 50 innings over three seasons.
