Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua will square off in a Heavyweight contest tonight (Fri., Dec. 19, 2025) live on NETFLIX inside Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
Paul deserves credit for this one. Time and time again, Paul has stacked the deck in his favor, taking on smaller and older fighters to build himself into one of boxing’s biggest names. After the planned Gervonta Davis bout imploded, however, Paul was more than willing to step up to a much bigger — literally! — challenge. He’s taking on a bonafide former Heavyweight world champion, and this isn’t 58-year-old Mike Tyson.
Joshua, conversely, is taking a well-paid side quest after coughing up a knockout loss last time out opposite Daniel Dubois. The stage is set for an incredibly high-profile showdown opposite Tyson Fury next year, but Joshua cannot afford an upset in what should be an easy victory for “AJ.”
Live results and highlights will begin to flow as soon as the athletes make their way to the ring …
Paul is light on his feet to start, dancing around the big ring. Joshua is stalking his pray, looking to establish the jab. Paul touches first with a jab of his own on the gloves, but the size difference is shocking here. Paul takes a right hand to the body as Joshua fires a counter hook. The two tumble to the floor off a clinch. Paul is moving well, lands a double jab. Joshua fires a right to the chest. Another right scores for Joshua partially to the gloves then a good body jab to close the round.
Paul lands first with a right hand to the body, but a Joshua right scores harder a moment later. A Joshua jab bounces Paul off the ropes. Paul clinches to stymie a Joshua advance. Paul lands to the body again. Joshua connects with a left hook. Paul is on the rope and takes a right to the body. He’s doing well moving and clinching to avoid damage, but he’s not landing much this round. Neither man is. Joshua touches the body one more time before the bell.
Paul starts the third with a stiff jab followed by a clinch. Then he lands a left hook! I’m not sure Paul can maintain this pace forever, but he’s doing admirable work here. Joshua finds another hard right to the body. I think Paul just landed a solid uppercut? Joshua looks a little annoyed and takes a jab. Short punches in the clinch connect for Joshua. Joshua is loading up and missing with his right hand. His body shots land though. Closer round than the second.
