The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed Canadian receiver Nic Demski to a two-year contract extension. He was scheduled to become a free agent in February.

According to 3DownNation reporter John Hodge, Demski’s new contract is worth $240,000 in 2026 and $245,000 in 2027. A portion of his salary is guaranteed in 2027.

The 32-year-old caught 67 passes for 1,001 yards and seven touchdowns over 16 regular-season games in 2025. It was his third-straight 1,000-yard season and he received a fifth-straight All-West Division selection.

The five-foot-eleven, 212-pound target was originally a first-round pick of the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 2015 CFL Draft, though his joined the Blue Bombers as a free agent in 2018. Over 152 career regular-season CFL games, he has caught 494 passes for 6,285 yards, rushed 136 times for 897 yards, and scored 47 total touchdowns.

The native of Winnipeg, Man. has won two Grey Cups and was named the game’s Most Valuable Canadian when the Blue Bombers when the CFL’s title game in 2021.

Demski was a two-time U Sports All-Canadian at receiver and two-time U Sports All-Canadian at returner during his collegiate career at the University of Manitoba.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers finished fourth in the West Division standings in 2025 with a 10-8 record, qualifying for the playoffs as the crossover team before losing the East Semi-Final to the Montreal Alouettes. Zach Collaros threw for 3,048 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions over 13 regular-season games, going 6-7 as a starter.

The Blue Bombers ranked fifth in net offence, third in net defence, and eighth with a turnover differential of minus-eleven. The club’s leading rusher was Brady Oliveira with 1,163 yards, leading receiver was Nic Demski with 1,001 yards, and leading tackler was Tony Jones with 104 tackles. Winnipeg ranked first in attendance with average crowds of 32,343, which was a 3.7 percent increase from the previous year.
