Liverpool ended the game with a 2-1 win, playing against nine men, but with three of their own injured by Spurs’ insanely aggressive, pumped-up players, and another off with cramp.
A couple more are lucky to still be walking. And no one quite had their jaw dislocated.
It was a bloodbath (almost literally at one point), and more physical than some utter nonsense of a YouTuber fighting an ex-heavyweight champion.
The spiteful Richarlison came on to join the insane Christian Romero and a frenzied stadium to try and punch, pinch, fight and kick their way to a result. They made it almost an impossible game to referee; as unhinged as I’ve seen since the bad old days of English football.
But the Reds’ winning streak continues.
