The New York Knicks’ recent schedule hasn’t done them any favors, and they paid the price for it on Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers.

After winning the NBA Cup against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, the Knicks had no time to celebrate their victory. Just two days later, they barely squeaked out a victory over the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, and then were beaten 116-107 by the 76ers the following day, looking clearly fatigued being that they were playing in their third game in four days.
Looking ahead of their next game against the Miami Heat on Sunday, forward Josh Hart was asked about the Knicks’ tough schedule of late.
“We weren’t really looking too far ahead, so we didn’t realize how challenging going right into a back-to-back and then an earlier game on Sunday,” Hart said.

Hart sat out for the Knicks’ matchup with the Pacers on Thursday, but looked sluggish against the 76ers, scoring just five points, and snagging 10 rebounds on 2-7 shooting in 34 minutes of action.
After a tired effort against the 76ers, the Knicks will look to right the ship against the Heat on Sunday. With a day off in between, the Knicks should be well-rested for a pivotal matchup with another Eastern Conference rival.
