The Stamps suffered their first loss of the season during a wet-and-windy affair at McMahon Stadium Saturday.
With the Red and White trailing 13-12 in the fourth quarter, the visiting Ottawa Redblacks scored the decisive major in a game that featured a torrential downpour for much of the match.
Calgary had opened the season with a win over Hamilton at home and downed Toronto on the road.

Stamps returner Eno Benjamin took the opening kickoff 18 yards before losing his footing and going down.
Adams Jr. then hooked up with Jalen Philpot on a short two-yard pass before having his second attempt batted down, leading to a punt.
Dustin Crum – the third starting quarterback for Ottawa in as many games – led the Redblacks on a 10-play, 52-yard drive, 30 of those yards coming via the Ottawa pivot’s legs on three rushes, that culminated in a 34-yard field-goal by Lewis Ward.
Mills had a pair of runs for 13 yards on a drive that was stalled with a sack on Adams Jr, leading to a 43-yard attempt by Paredes that went wide right.
Devonte Dedmon ran it out but Ottawa was called for a hold, pinning them on their one-yard line.
That would lead to a Jaylon Hutchings sack on Crum for a safety to get Calgary on the board with 4:33 to go in the opening quarter.
Calgary went for it on a deep third-and-three but Adams Jr.’s TD pass attempt to Barnes – who he hit on the opening play of the drive on a 27-yard toss – was incomplete, leading to the turnover on downs with Ottawa starting on their own seven-yard line.
The Stamps were stopped on a third-and-goal at the one-yard line after a long drive in the second quarter, Mills racking up 50 yards as they marched down field, but backup QB P.J. Walker stopped as he tried to run the ball in.
Redblacks receiver Geno Lewis dropped a pass in the endzone leading to a 29-yard field goal from Ward in the final minute of the half.
The second half was all about kicks.
After a two-and-out to start the third quarter, Stamps punter Fraser Masin booted a low 77-yard punt for a rouge.
Ward would then kicked a 27-yarder to make it a six-point lead for the visitors.
Paredes, though, would answer back on the next Stamps possession with a long 42-yard field-goal of his own.
The back-and-forth continued, Ward adding another three points with 3:40 to go in the quarter.
Calgary got back within three when Paredes nailed a 51-yarder.

Ottawa added a rouge for a 13-9 lead with 11:10 to go in the game, but the Stamps answered back with a 42-yarder off the foot of Paredes to narrow it to a point.
Ottawa’s Daniel Adeboboye scampered for nine yards and then broke it open for 53 yards before completing the three-play drive with a nine-yard catch for the major.
The Stamps went for it on a third-and-six, but Charlie Ringland would pick it off at Ottawa’s 50-yard line to give the Redblacks good field position going down to the three-minute warning, Ward trying to increase the gap on a 49-yard field-goal attemp but it hit the upright.
Pushing down the field, Adam Jr. hit Rhymes for a 23-yard grab on the first play of the ensuing possession but after a pair of incompletions, Calgary faced a third-and-10 on the Ottawa 35 and Adams Jr. overthrew Philpot in the endzone for a turnover on downs.
