The City of Belleville has announced the signing of two new doctors through the physician recruitment program.
Husband and wife team, Dr. Njoku and Dr. Kinze, have recently moved from the UK to Belleville to practise family medicine.
Dr. Njoku has started his new practice as part of the Geen’s Family Medicine clinic, and Dr. Kenze will be starting her new practice before the end of Feb. 2026.
“Welcoming this talented and compassionate couple to our community is the perfect way to finish 2025. Their training and experience will bolster local health care, and many local residents will be able to start 2026 knowing they will have direct access to an experienced family physician,” said Mayor Neil Ellis. “Council is very pleased to welcome doctors Njoku and Kinze to our city, and we look forward to working with them for many years to come.”
“We are so happy to have found our new home in Canada, and we look forward to raising our family here and getting to know our patients and helping them live healthier, happier lives,” said doctors Njoku and Kinze in a joint statement.
Belleville has implemented one of the most successful physician recruitment programs in the province, in an effort to address shortfalls of family doctors in the community. More than 60 physicians and nine nurse practitioners have been successfully recruited to practise in Belleville. To date, over $9 million has been committed to attracting primary healthcare providers.
For residents in need of a family physician or a nurse practitioner, it is important to register with Health Care Connect, which is used by physicians and agencies to connect patients to new doctors.
