Pixie Lott has urged new parents not to put too much “pressure” on themselves to have a “perfect” Christmas.

The 34-year-old singer and her husband, Oliver Cheshire, welcomed their second son – a brother for 2-year-old Albert – into the world in October and she thinks it is vital to
remember what is important about the festive season to avoid too much stress.

She told Bang Showbiz: “I don’t think you should put too much pressure on it to be the perfect Christmas. That’s when it all goes a bit wrong because you never know when it can happen. A lot of pressure goes on Christmas.

“Christmas is meant to be about family, about joy, about spending time together, sitting around and having the meal together. That is the most important thing, as long as you have that don’t get worried about the gifts you have to get and all the people you have to please. It will drive you mad.”

Lott’s favourite festive traditions involve snuggling on the sofa with her family.
