ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico United announced on Thursday the club had signed forward Justin Rennicks ahead of the 2026 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Rennicks joins New Mexico United having most recently competed for AC Oulu in Finland’s top flight, the Veikkausliiga. The 26-year-old recorded 10 goals and three assists across 2,495 minutes and 45 appearances for Oulu, helping the side retain its place in the top flight in each season.
A native of Beverly, Mass., Rennicks came through the New England Revolution Academy and after competing at Indiana University signed with the club as a Homegrown Player ahead of the 2019 Major League Soccer season. Rennicks recorded two goals in 1,310 minutes for the Revolution, and also featured on loan in the USL Championship for North Carolina FC and USL League One for the Revolution II during the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
Rennick recorded nine goals, four assists and 36 chances created in 2,808 minutes for the Revolution II in League One while posting a shooting accuracy rate of 52 percent and a shot conversion rate of 18 percent before moving into consistent First Team action.
At the international level, Rennicks has represented the United States at the U-16, U-18, and U-20 levels, totaling 37 appearances, eight goals, and five assists. He was part of the U.S. squad at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup having helped the side claim the 2018 Concacaf U-20 Championship.
