PLAINWELL, Mich. — A Plainwell man died after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Plainwell on Thursday.

Just before 7:15 p.m., Michigan State Police (MSP) troopers responded to a vehicle vs. bike crash on 10th Street south of Miller Road in Plainwell.

A 52-year-old Plainwell man was pronounced dead at the scene, MSP said in a release. The driver, a 40-year-old man from Kalamazoo, was uninjured and cooperative.

Both the bicycle and vehicle were traveling north in heavy fog, and the bicycle did not have lights, MSP said. No impairment is believed to be a factor.
