There is a clear number one for Saskatchewan Roughriders’ president Craig Reynolds as his favourite moment from the 2025 CFL season.

“The Grey Cup, I wish I could relive that Sunday other than the stress of the fourth quarter, but I wish I could relive that Grey Cup Sunday over and over again,” Reynolds said on the SportsCage. “Seeing the guys celebrate that way, accomplish that goal — it’s so special in Saskatchewan.”

Saskatchewan defeated the Montreal Alouettes 25-17 in the 112th Grey Cup, and after the game, Trevor Harris was named the Grey Cup MVP. The other times the Riders won the Grey Cup were in 1966, 1989, 2007 and 2013.

Reynolds has two Grey Cup wins on his resume, the first came in 2013 when he was Saskatchewan’s vice-president and chief financial officer. The win against Montreal was his first as president and CEO of the team.

Going down the list, Reynolds shared his other favourite moments for the Riders this year.

“Labour Day is always special when you get that win, but other than the Grey Cup, that West Final, that last clutch drive, needing to score a touchdown to send yourself to the Grey Cup,” Reynolds said. “Tommy Nield’s catch and the roar of the crowd, that’s the thing I’ll never forget.”

This season, the Riders defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the annual Labour Day Classic 34-30 in Week 13. The following week, Saskatchewan travelled to take on the Bombers for the rematch and won 21-13.

As for the West Final, the Green and White defeated the B.C. Lions 24-21. At the end of the game, the Riders’ offence scored and went ahead with 12 seconds remaining when Trevor Harris threw a three-yard touchdown to Nield.

“It’s likely going to be the signature moment in the new stadium,” Reynolds said. “When you look at the new stadium, there are lots of cool moments, Brett Lauther’s walk-off field goal [September 1, 2019] where he runs to Pil Country, those types of things at Labour Day, but we never had a moment like that in a massive game to send you to the Grey Cup. That’s a signature moment that’ll be remembered forever.”
