The NBA has chosen Olympia Sports Camp in Huntsville as the premier location in Ontario to host the first-ever NBA Basketball School.

Officials say it will enable Olympia to deliver the NBA Basketball School curriculum, approved by the National Basketball Coaches Association, through local coaches with input from NBA coaches, former NBA players, and player development experts.

Dave Grace, founder and director of Olympia Sports Camp, says this partnership has been a dream come true for him, ever since the camp first opened in 1974.

“It feels great to be able to offer to all of Muskoka a place where kids can come and realize that we are teaching the NBA curriculum to kids,” said Grace.

Grace adds they currently have about 350 kids at the camp.

“I have been coming to this camp for over 30 years and I enjoy it,” he says.

He says he is happy to see two “amazing organizations” working together for the “love of the game, and the youth of Canada.”

Olympia Sports Camp offers multi-sport programming, camps, certification and leadership training for youth ages 7-17.
