The following Softball Canada-Canadian Fastpitch Softball Championships comtinue today and run through Sunday…

The Women’s, with seven teams taking part, at Bob Van Impe Stadium and the Glenn Reeve-3 diamond in Saskatoon. The teams will play a round-robin plus playoffs format. Among the seven competing teams are the defending champion Carnduff Southeast Steelers, the host Saskatoon Stealth as well as the Saskatoon Prairie Pirates and the Saskatoon Tigers. Action starts today at 10 a.m. with the last game beginning at 8 p.m. Every game features at least one Saskatchewan team, with the exception of a 10 a.m. contest at Glenn Reeve-3.

The Under-20 Men’s, with seven teams taking part, at Joe Gallagher Field and the Glenn Reeve-4 diamond in Saskatoon. The teams will play a round-robin plus playoffs format. Among the seven teams competing are the host Saskatoon Selects. They have 0 wins, 2 losses…tied for 6th place. The Under-17 Women’s, with 22 teams taking part, at the Prairie Oasis Park diamonds in Warman. The teams are split into four pools of six teams each for preliminary round-robin play, followed by playoffs. Among the 24 teams taking part are the host Twin City Angels, Moose Jaw ICE, White Butte Storm and Battlefords Bandits from Saskatchewan. The four Saskatchewan teams are in different preliminary pools. Action today starts at 8 a.m. with the last games beginning at 7 p.m.

The Under-19 Women’s, with 13 teams taking part, at Surrey, B-C. The teams are split into two pools for preliminary round-robin play – one with six teams, the other seven – followed by playoffs. Among the 13 teams taking part are the Saskatoon Selects and the White Butte Storm. Saskatoon has 0 wins, 1 loss…good for 5th place in the Black Pool.
