1992 Benetton B192 Formula One ex-Michael Schumacher (Broad Arrow Auctions)

‘The word iconic is frequently overused in an effort to elevate otherwise important machines, yet no such qualification is required here. Chassis B192-05 is the Benetton that carried Michael Schumacher to his first Formula 1 victory, prevailing over the likes of Senna, Mansell, and Hakkinen on the sport’s most demanding circuit and in its most exacting conditions. It is the car that launched a record-setting career with seven world drivers’ championship titles, 91 victories, and the most pole positions (68), podium finishes (155), and fastest laps (77) at his retirement. Simultaneously, it is the car that crystallized Benetton’s philosophy of evolutionary excellence, and the car that proved that, along with Schumacher, the team was capable of the heights seen during the 1994 and 1995 seasons. Never before offered for public sale in its history, B192-05 stands as one of the most consequential and iconic Formula One cars of the modern era.’

IndyCar IOB members meet in Indianapolis (Racer)

‘Assembled under Penske’s non-profit IndyCar Officiating Incorporated (IOI) banner, the trio of veteran NASCAR crew chief and team owner Ray Evernham and former Ford executive Raj Nair – who were selected by IndyCar team owners – and the FIA-supplied Ronan Morgan gathered in Indianapolis to start the in-person talks on how they want to govern IndyCar races, technical inspection, and other aspects of event oversight.’

Las Vegas visitor numbers drop 5.2% in November despite major events (Fox 5 Vegas)

‘Las Vegas welcomed approximately 3.14 million visitors in November, a 5.2% decrease from the same month last year, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. The decline occurred despite major events including the SEMA/Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week tradeshow, the third annual F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix race and three Raiders home games.’

Doohan finally free as Alpine chapter closes (Auto Action)

‘There is even a thin red thread back to Formula 1. Doohan’s simulator reputation has not gone unnoticed beyond Enstone, and Haas has enlisted Doohan for testing and sim work this year, which could provide further opportunities. He will also be the nominated reserve driver for the team when a Grand Prix doesn’t clash with a JSF meeting’
