The Saskatchewan Roughriders continue to add depth and competition to their receiving corps.

The Green and White announced the signing of American wide receiver Siaosi Mariner, a familiar name to the organization after spending the final stretch of the 2025 season on Saskatchewan’s practice roster.

Mariner first joined the Roughriders on October 21 and remained with the club through the end of the year, giving the coaching staff a close look at the 6-foot-2, 190-pound target heading into the offseason.

Before arriving in Riderville, Mariner put together an impressive spring season in the UFL. Playing for the Michigan Panthers in 2025, he finished as the league’s leading receiver, hauling in 527 receiving yards, showcasing both his big-play ability and consistency.

The 27-year-old also has prior CFL experience. Mariner signed with the Ottawa REDBLACKS in 2022 and saw action the following season, appearing in nine games in 2023. During that time, he recorded 18 receptions for 219 yards and a touchdown, providing depth and versatility in Ottawa’s receiving group.

Mariner’s football resume also includes NFL stops with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020 and the Baltimore Ravens in 2021, adding another layer of pro experience to Saskatchewan’s roster.

At the collegiate level, Mariner enjoyed his most productive season at Utah State in 2019, where he emerged as a go-to option in the Aggies’ offence. He caught 63 passes for 987 yards and 10 touchdowns in 13 games, earning Second-Team All-Mountain West Conference honours.

Prior to his time at Utah State, Mariner spent four seasons with the University of Utah, finishing his Utes career with 52 receptions for 785 yards and four touchdowns across 36 games.
