As Pivot Cycles-OTE continues to elevate its roster for 2026, it’s getting a major boost. The Quebec-based team is bringing Olympian Gunnar Holmgren back into the fold.

A build and a return

During his last stint with Pivot Cycles-OTE, Holmgren worked his way up the elite World Cup ranks and put himself on track to qualify for the Olympics. Starting with big results in Brazil in 2022, then performances that were a small mechanical away from a top-10 in 2023, and a Pan Am Games title that fall, his time with the Canadian squad set the groundwork for a big 2024.

Those results earned Gunnar a spot on Trek Factory Racing for the 2025 season. After steadily improving throughout ’25, Holmgren’s time with TFR wrapped up in the fall.

Adding Canadian talent

Holmgren isn’t the only new addition to Pivot Cycles-OTE. Countinuing to prove it is Canada’s XC team, Ian Ackert already announced his move to the Quebec-based squad after his prior team, Trek Future Racing, closed its doors.

Ackert and Holmgren join a returning roster of Pivot Cycles-OTE riders. As the team continues its 2026 roll-out, Owen Clark and Zorak Paillé are already officially announced. In 2025, the team also included Maxime St.-Onge, Simon Ruelland, Lily-Rose Marois, Maude Ruelland, Phil St-Laurent and Raphael Auclair.
