NFL Week 18 betting preview
With a loss last week, the Giants could have put themselves in the driver’s seat for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but instead, they played to win and defeated the Raiders, 34-10. With the No. 1 pick likely gone, they host the Dallas Cowboys in Week 18 at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, and if they played to win against Las Vegas last week, you can be sure they will against the rival Cowboys at home this weekend. The Cowboys (7-8-1) are also out of the playoffs, but in the first seven seasons of Dak Prescott’s career, where he played at least 12 games, the Cowboys never finished with a losing record. That could be a motivator for him as well, and the Cowboys are 3.5-point favorites in the latest Week 18 NFL odds at FanDuel.
The 4:25 p.m. ET window features seven games with varying motivators as well. The biggest one is that the No. 1 seed in the AFC isn’t secured yet, although the Chargers’ midweek decisions make that outcome very likely to the sportsbooks. The Broncos earn the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a win over the Chargers, who are resting many key starters, including Justin Herbert. Denver is favored by 12.5 points. The Patriots (-10.5) would get the top seed with a win over the Dolphins and a Broncos loss.
However, even if the Patriots are scoreboard-watching and see Denver is up big, Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel have one more chance at improving their case for some personal hardware, as the NFL MVP and NFL Coach of the Year. Maye became the betting favorite to win the MVP after Matthew Stafford’s poor performance against the Falcons on Monday Night Football, so betting some of Maye’s NFL player props could be a popular Week 18 NFL betting option. Sign up for FanDuel Sportsbook here:
