John Harbaugh is out as head coach of the Baltimore Ravens.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the team fired their coach on Tuesday after 18 seasons on the job.
Harbaugh was the league’s second-most tenured head coach behind Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who was hired one year earlier.
A native of Toledo, OH, Harbaugh joined the Ravens in 2008 after a decade on the Philadelphia Eagles staff. He posted a record of 180-113 over his tenure with the club, reaching the postseason on 12 occasions. Harbaugh’s Ravens made it to the AFC Championship Game four times.
Harbaugh led the Ravens to a Super Bowl title in 2012, defeating younger brother Jim Harbaugh’s San Francisco 49ers by a score of 34-31.
He was named NFL Coach of the Year in 2019.
