The start of the new tennis season continues to roll on, with plenty of big names in action at the United Cup, as well as at tournaments in Brisbane, Auckland and Hong Kong.

10:22 CET – Mirra Andreeva is through in Brisbane after a comeback 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 triumph over home favourite Olivia Gadecki, while Marta Kostyuk has also progressed after seeing off Yulia Putintseva in three sets.

09:37 CET – Top seed Lorenzo Musetti is the first man through to the Hong Kong quarter-finals, with the Italian coming from behind to beat Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6-7(3), 6-2, 6-4.

08:49 CET – Defending champions USA are through to the semi-finals at the United Cup after Coco Gauff and Christian Harrison saw off Maria Sakkari and Stefanos Tsitsipas 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 in the decisive doubles rubber.

Elsewhere, ninth seed Linda Noskova has battled through in Brisbane, with the Czech outlasting Magdalena Frech 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4, while in Auckland, Xinyu Wang has beaten Renata Zarazua in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4.

07:42 CET – There’s plenty to catch you up on overnight, with Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff earning dominant wins over Suzan Lamens and Maria Sakkari, respectively, at the United Cup, while Stefanos Tsitsipas produced a superb display to see off Taylor Fritz in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5.

In Brisbane, fourth seed Jessica Pegula recovered from a set down to defeat Anna Kalinskaya 2-6, 6-2, 6-4, while Dayana Yastremska, Liudmila Samsonova and Aliaksandra Sasnovich also moved through to the third round.

Meanwhile, on the men’s side of the tournament, top seed Daniil Medvedev is through to the quarter-finals after a convincing 6-3, 6-2 triumph over Frances Tiafoe.
