Bayern Munich legend Giovane Élber thinks that the club needs some South American flair.

“Bayern needs a South American player. Not just because of their footballing quality, but also someone who can create a good atmosphere in the dressing room, so there’s a bit of a sense of relaxation. But I don’t see anyone [playing in South America] at the moment who would help Bayern immediately. It would have to be a Brazilian, for example, who already plays in Europe. Rodrygo? I was just about to mention him. He’s definitely a great player,” Elber told t-online’s Julian Buhl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

Rodrygo’s future under Xabi Alonso will — allegedly — be determined this week. Being so young, it seems like a longshot that Real Madrid will really sell him, but there could be an opening if there are not enough minutes to go around.
