Joe Burrow completed 70.6 percent of his passes last season, throwing for 4,918 yards, 43 touchdowns, and just nine interceptions, and one NFL analyst thinks the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback is only getting better.
Burrow has his top two wide receiver targets back on new contracts as Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase inked extensions to remain with the Cincinnati Bengals. Moreover, Mike Gesicki is returning to the Bengals, so the 28-year-old will be throwing the ball around this season.

Looking ahead to the 2025 season, NFL Network analyst Manti Te’o thinks that while Burrow’s last year was impressive as he led the league in passing, the Bengals’ quarterback will only get better.
“Around this time last year, the guy was trying to still recover from his wrist thing, right?” Te’o said on the NFL Network. “You know, so he had a whole offseason this offseason to not worry about how to grip the ball.
“How do I throw this ball again? He can just focus on getting better. He can just focus on getting stronger. And I would say I saw some clips of him throwing the ball to Ja’Marr Chase and company, and the thing looks pretty. It looks pretty strong. He’s throwing it with some ease, and it’s so good to not see him open and close his hand all the time.”
Te’o also believes that with Burrow having an offseason where he’s not rehabbing an injury, it’s a good sight for Bengals and NFL fans who want to see the top quarterbacks playing at the top level.

“Now, I think that’s—that’s a good thing for Bengals fans,” Te’o added. “It’s a good thing for NFL fans when you see a guy like Joe Burrow not needing to do that. So I’m definitely buying this that he’s throwing the ball better than he did last year, because, again, he just had a full offseason of not needing to have to do rehab or any of that stuff—STEM machine, acupuncture, whatever it is that he does.”
