In RG Media’s latest article, an interesting piece of information has come to light about young Montreal Canadiens forward Ivan Demidov and NHL legend Pavel Datsyuk.

Right after Demidov signed what many are calling a nearly historic contract with the Canadiens late last season – and just before he played his highly anticipated first NHL game – he received a very unexpected phone call.

As fans remember, in his very first NHL game, Demidov notched two points (a goal and an assist) and delivered a fantastic performance.

Now, months later, after having spent the entire summer training in Brossard, Demidov looks even more poised for success.

We’re incredibly excited to see what the 2025-26 season holds for Ivan Demidov – and for the Montreal Canadiens as a whole.

The Habs’ young star forward seems fully ready to make a major and immediate impact on the team’s success.
