Peel police are investigating following a hit-and-run in Brampton Friday evening.

In a post on social media, police say a female pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the area of Ray Lawson Boulevard and Falstaff Drive, near Mavis Road, just before 6 p.m.

Police say the suspect vehicle, a white Honda Civic, fled the scene. No driver description has been released.

Peel paramedics tell CP24 they transported one patient to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Ray Lawson Boulevard is closed between Kingknoll Drive and Woodsend Road for the investigation.
