Not subscribed to Paramount+ yet, the new home of UFC for the next seven years? You might want to consider signing on to the annual package now before the prices get hiked up on January 15th.

Here’s the deal as it stands now: for a $59.99 year subscription to Paramount+ Essential, fans in the United States will get all numbered events (formerly pay-per-views that cost $80), all Fight Night events, all Contender Series cards, any new Ultimate Fighter seasons, and Zuffa Boxing. They’ve added a ton of past events and fights to the service as well. And then there’s whatever TV and movie offerings Paramount+ offers, if you’re into that kind of thing.

But that $59.99 price is disappearing fast. In just four days, the annual subscription price is going up to $89.99 per year. That’s thirty frickin’ dollars more! Monthly tiers will also be going up in price, with Essential subscribers being bumped from $7.99 to $8.99 per month and Premium going from $12.99 to $13.99.

Paramount+ Premium’s annual cost is also rising from $119.99 to $139.99.

So what’s the difference between Essential and Premium? It all comes down to ads. Essential is ‘ad supported’ which means you’re gonna get ads during all the on-demand content you watch. That won’t be the case with Premium … except when it comes to live sports like UFC. There are still ads being run during live sports, no matter which package you’re on.

So here’s our advice for getting the best bang for your buck coming into the UFC on Paramount+ era: sign up for Paramount+ Essential plan, because Premium won’t stop you from getting ads during live UFC events. And sign up for the annual plan now before it raises by $30 dollars on January 15th. That’ll lock you in til 2027. After that? Well, we all know nothing in this world is getting cheaper. But let’s never forget how it cost $93 a month to be a UFC fan under ESPN.

We’ll see you on January 24th when the UFC returns with UFC 324 featuring Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy Pimblett for the interim lightweight title.
