The Hamilton Tiger-Cats continue to make decisions that maintain the foundation that made them successful this year. Hamilton’s recent signings of Bo Levi Mitchell, Jamal Peters, Stavros Katsantonis, and Brandon Revenberg keep the Tiger-Cats’ locker room leadership intact for another season. In addition, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats officially announced their coaching staff for the 2026 CFL season, with 10 coaches returning from last year’s staff, including Head Coach Scott Milanovich and Quarterbacks Coach Jarryd Baines, who will also serve as Hamilton’s Offensive Coordinator.

On the other hand, Tiger-Cats coach Special Teams Coordinator Dennis McKnight has been replaced, with Hamilton hiring Bob Dyce as Special Teams Coordinator.

Long-time CFL coach Bob Dyce has joined the Hamilton Tiger-Cats staff as their Special Teams Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach. Dyce is replacing last year’s special teams coordinator, Dennis McKnight. In addition, James Tuck has been named as Dyce’s Co-Special Teams Coordinator, and Myer Spitulnik has taken over as the Running Backs coach for Tuck.

Dyce has spent the last three CFL seasons as the head coach of the Ottawa Redblacks. Previously, Dyce had been the Redblacks’ special teams coordinator from 2016 until becoming the head coach in 2022. Before coming to Ottawa, Dyce spent five seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, including their passing game coordinator and wide receiver coach in 2010 until 2011, offensive coordinator position in 2012, special teams coordinator from 2013 until 2015, and the Roughriders’ interim head coach at Saskatchewan.

Dyce is a native of Manitoba, and he began his CFL coaching career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as their wide receivers coach from 2003 to 2009. During his coaching career, Dyce has been a part of two Grey Cup championships in 2013 and 2016. The Tiger-Cats’ special teams should benefit from Dyce’s extensive experience as a coach in the CFL.
