There are two notable recommendations coming out of the CFL rules committee on Tuesday, according to TSN’s Farhan Lalji.
First, it’s recommended that the timing for the final three minutes of a half will remain the same as it is currently, with the 20-second play clock instead of the newly implemented 35-second clock.
The second recommendation is that ties will be eliminated. After two mini overtime games are completed, the teams will alternate plays from the three-yard line until a winner is determined.
These changes need to be approved by the Board of Governors.
