The 2026 local cycling calendar will officially roll into action on Saturday (January 17) with the staging of the WND Park Series, an event that organisers say is designed to set an energetic and competitive tone for the new season.

The season-opening race will be held at the Inner Circuit of the National Park and is being presented by Team Continental Cycling Club.

The race is expected to attract a wide cross-section of riders and spectators, as cyclists look to make an early statement in what is anticipated to be a highly competitive year. The WND Park Series will feature several prize categories, including Elite, Category Four, Ladies and Youth (ages 12–14), ensuring opportunities for both experienced competitors and emerging young riders to showcase their talent. Organisers have set the registration fee at an accessible G$1,000, a move aimed at encouraging strong participation across all divisions.
