Smiths Falls’ Brooke Henderson and fellow Canadian Corey Conners once again delivered a strong showing at the Grant Thornton Invitational in Florida. The mixed-team tournament was held Dec. 12 to 14 at Tiburón Golf Club in Naples and featured top players from the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour.
The Canadian pairing finished tied for fifth with a three-round total of 23 under par. They opened the event with an impressive 61 in the opening scramble format, then followed with rounds of 67 and 65 over the final two days.
Lauren Coughlin and Andrew Novak won the tournament at 28 under par.
This marked the third straight year Henderson and Conners teamed up at the Invitational. They finished second in 2023 and tied for fourth in 2024.
Henderson, 28, is coming off a solid 2025 LPGA season that included a win at the CPKC Women’s Open in Mississauga. The 2026 LPGA season begins Jan. 29 in Orlando.
