Former CFL short-yardage quarterback Jordan Lynch has been inducted into the National Football Foundation’s College Football Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2026.

Lynch played two seasons for the Edmonton Football Team in 2015 and 2016, completing just six passes for 48 yards and a touchdown in his CFL career. He was primarily utilized in short-yardage packages, rushing 53 times for 228 yards and five touchdowns in 36 games, while also contributing three special teams tackles.

The Chicago, Ill., native is best remembered north of the border for scoring the game-winning touchdown in the 103rd Grey Cup on a one-yard QB sneak.

Prior to his time in the CFL, Lynch was a record-setting dual-threat quarterback at Northern Illinois University. As a senior in 2013, he threw for 2,892 yards with 24 passing touchdowns and added an NCAA record 1,920 rushing yards with 23 touchdowns to finish third in Heisman Trophy voting.

In 50 total games for the Huskies, Lynch made 28 starts and threw for 6,209 yards, 51 touchdowns, and just 14 interceptions. He added 4,343 rushing yards and 48 majors on the ground. He was twice named the MVP of the Mid-American Conference, while receiving All-American recognition as an all-purpose player.

Lynch will be inducted into the Class of 2026 alongside a number of marquee NFL names, including Marvin Harrison, Aaron Donald, and Ndamukong Suh. He will officially be enshrined during the 68th NFF Annual Awards Dinner on December 8, 2026, at Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
