A new RV park and soccer complex are coming to Benton, and they will be located next to Buc-ee’s. Here’s what to know.

BENTON, Ark. — If you’ve driven by the Buc-ee’s construction site in Benton recently and saw crews clearing the land right next to it, that’s because it’s going to be home to a new RV park and soccer complex.

Chair of Benton’s Advertising & Promotion Commission, Bill Eldridge, said it will draw more people into Saline County.

Right now, the city is almost at the halfway point for this ten-year project, also known as Benton Thomas Park.

Eldridge also said there are even more developments planned in the coming years.

“We have a few more years before we have all this property along the river, all the way up to Lyle Park on Highway five. We will have a river trail from the RV park all the way up there. And I think that they tell me it’s gonna be about the six-mile trail. So something that would be a great quality of life enhancement,” he added.

As for the soccer complex and RV park, he expects it to be finished in the next two years.

“It’ll be able to host any tournament. Soccer people are excited too about having the RV park next to it, because a lot of those people travel with their RVs, so we’re excited about that,” he explained.
