MOORESVILLE, N.C. (WBTV/Gray News) – A break-in has been reported at the home of the late NASCAR driver Greg Biffle just weeks after he and his family lost their lives in a plane crash.
According to an Iredell County Sheriff’s Office incident report, a burglary was reported on Jan. 8 at Biffle’s estate in Mooresville.
Authorities say $30,000 and a backpack were reportedly stolen from the house.
“Currently, no arrest has been made,” a spokesperson for the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said. “Investigators are continuing to review all evidence, including digital and other available information, as the case remains under investigation.”
Biffle, his wife, Cristina, their two children and three other people died last month in the plane crash at Statesville Regional Airport.
The airplane had taken off just minutes earlier, turned around and was attempting to land when it went down.
