The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed American receiver Tevin Jones and Canadian offensive lineman Tomas Jack-Kurdyla. Both players were scheduled to become free agents on February 10.
Jones played 17 games in his first season with the Stampeders, recording 47 receptions for 618 yards and four touchdowns while adding five special teams tackles.
The 33-year-old has previously spent time with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Edmonton Elks, appearing in 64 career CFL games while making 172 catches for 2,496 yards and 15 touchdowns. Before coming to Canada, he played five games in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers and made four catches for 61 yards.
The six-foot-three, 225-pound target attended the University of Memphis, where he saw action in 51 games over four seasons. He made 90 career catches for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns for the Tigers.
Jack-Kurdyla appeared in nine games during the 2025 season, his first with the Stampeders. He was primarily used as an extra offensive lineman and injury replacement, making no starts.
The Montreal native was originally selected fourth overall in the first round of the 2020 CFL Draft by the Edmonton Elks. He went on to play 45 games and made 29 starts in four seasons for the Green and Gold.
Before turning pro, the 29-year-old played 48 games over four seasons for the University at Buffalo, making 40 career starts at right guard for the Bulls.
The Calgary Stampeders finished third in the West Division standings in 2025 with an 11-7 record, but lost the West Semi-Final to the B.C. Lions. Vernon Adams Jr. threw for 4,247 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions over 17 regular-season starts, posting an 11-6 record.
The Stampeders ranked fourth in net offence, seventh in net defence, and second with a turnover differential of plus-nine. Dedrick Mills won the CFL’s rushing title with 1,409 yards, while the team’s leading receiver was Dominique Rhymes with 886 yards, and the leading tackler was Jacob Roberts with 102 tackles. Calgary finished fifth in attendance with average crowds of 22,295, which was a 3.5 percent increase from the previous year.
