Boxing fans are being promised a thrilling night of action when the Caribbean Boxing Organization (CBO) stages its first pro-am fight card this Saturday (January 24), at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH), with organizers confident the event will deliver both high-quality competition and regional development opportunities.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday at the venue, CBO President Seon Bristol said the organisation is fully prepared to treat fans in Guyana and across the Caribbean to an electrifying showcase featuring a total of 13 bouts (seven professional contests and six amateur fights). “It’s about to go down. Caribbean Boxing Organization is here Saturday. I’m happy that all boxing fans here in Guyana and throughout the Caribbean are going to get a night of excitement,” Bristol said.
Beyond the entertainment value, Bristol emphasized that the CBO’s mission extends to strengthening boxing across the region by providing meaningful competitive platforms for emerging and established fighters. “We have what we consider pure prize fighters. We are here not to recreate anything but to enhance the word of boxing throughout Guyana and the Caribbean,” he added.
