It appears a WWE Superstar’s absence from SmackDown as of late is more serious than what was initially let on.
Over the weekend, it was reported by PWInsider that Aleister Black has been off WWE programming to sell the results of his ambulance match with Damian Priest. Johnson didn’t believe Black was suffering from any injuries. But now we’re hearing differently on that front.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Daily Update, Aleister Black suffered a broken tailbone in his ambulance match with Priest on SmackDown.
Luckily, Johnson was correct about the planned time off to sell the match itself. This will allow Black time to heal without changing plans he was factored into. Meltzer refers to the injury as a “minor.” An injury along these lines typically takes anywhere from a few weeks to several months to recover from, based on the severity of the injury.
On behalf of everyone here at WrestleZone, we wish Aleister Black a quick and painless recovery.
