Montreal Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens will get forward Kirby Dach back in the lineup tonight as he will see his first game action since November tonight against the Minnesota Wild.

Dach has missed the team’s past 34 games with a fractured foot after blocking a shot on Nov. 15 against the Boston Bruins. He has five goals and two assists in 15 games this season.

He will take the spot of forward Alexandre Texier, who has been listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury, on the top line beside Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki.

Defenceman Jayden Struble will re-enter the lineup in place of Arber Xhekaj, while Jakub Dobes will get the start in net.

Ottawa Senators

The Ottawa Senators have announced that goaltender Leevi Merilainen has been loaned to the AHL’s Belleville Senators.

Goaltender Hunter Shepard has ben recalled in a corresponding move and will joiin the team on the road as they travel to Columbus to face the Blue Jackets on Tuesday night. He will likely back up James Reimer.

Meriläinen, 23, has compiled an 8-10-1 record with a 3.51 goals-against average and .860 save percentage this season.

He allowed six goals on 19 shots in his most recent start against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday, a 6-5 overtime loss.

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Toronto Maple Leafs have assigned goaltender Anthony Stolarz to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies on a conditioning loan.

The 31-year-old netminder hasn’t played since Nov. 11 due to an upper-body injury, which he revealed last week to be a nerve issue.

Calgary Flames

The Flames announced that forward Martin Pospisil has been recalled from the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers. Dryden hunt was assigned to the AHL in the corresponding move.

Edmonton Oilers

It appears the Oilers will play with 11 forwards and seven defencemen tonight against the New Jersey Devils.

Jack Roslovic will move back to the wing with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Trent Frederic, according to TSN’s Ryan Rishaug.

Tristan Jarry will get the start in net.

New Jersey Devils

Defenceman Luke Hughes will “miss some time” according to head coach Sheldon Keefe.

The defenceman will undergo further evaluation to determine the extent of the injury.

The blueliner has recorded five goals and 26 points in 49 games this season, his fourth in the NHL.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Head coach jon Cooper said Tuesday that defenceman Victor Hedman has resumed skating. Defencemen Ryan McDonaugh and Emil Lilleberg have also been on the ice and all thre are tredning well in their returns.

Hedman, 35, has not played since Dec. 9 against the Canadiens due to an elbow injury. He has 12 assists in 18 games this season.

Nashville Predators

The Predators announced that forward Reid Schaefer has been loaned to the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals.

The 22-year-old has scored two goals and six points in 25 games this year, his first in the NHL.
